MAR MAR Ayurvedic Healing

What Is MARMAR?

MARMAR is a classical Ayurvedic system of body work rooted in the science of Marma - the 107 vital energy junctions where body, mind, and consciousness intersect.

In Ayurveda, Marma points are not muscle or joint. They are described as seats of Prana, or life force. When these points become blocked through stress, physical exertion, poor posture, or lifestyle imbalance, energy flow is restricted. MARMAR Body Work is designed to release these blockages, restore circulation of Prana, and bring the body's systems back into balance.

This is deep, intentional, therapeutic body work based on 5000 years of Ayurvedic wisdom. It is not a relaxation service. It is a structured process for restoration and vitality.

This private practice is dedicated exclusively to male clients.

How It Works

MARMAR works through precise, sustained stimulation of Marma points using traditional Ayurvedic techniques.

Each Marma point connects to different organs, channels, and systems in the body. By working systematically across the body, our practitioner influences the nervous system, improves the flow of blood and lymph, and supports the body's natural detoxification process known as the removal of Ama.

The Three Pillars of the Process:

1. Snehana - Sacred Oleation
The process begins with the application of warm, herb-infused Ayurvedic oils, selected for your specific constitution (Dosha). These oils are prepared with classical herbs like Ashwagandha, Bala, and Mahanarayan. The oil is applied with rhythmic, directional strokes to prepare the tissues, calm the nervous system, and allow deeper access to the Marma points.

2. Marma Sthanam - Vital Point Activation
This is the core of MARMAR. Using thumbs, palms, and specific finger formations, the practitioner applies measured pressure to key Marma points on the legs, back, chest, arms, shoulders, neck and abdomen. Each point is held from 10 to 30 seconds, synchronized with breath. The pressure is firm, therapeutic, and never aggressive. The goal is to awaken the point, not to overstimulate it.

3. Prana Flow - Integration & Balance
After activation, long, grounding movements are used to integrate the work and encourage the newly released energy to circulate evenly throughout the body. This final phase allows the body to assimilate the treatment and returns the nervous system to a state of calm alertness.

The Session Experience

Every session is private, professional, and tailored to your constitution.

Initial Consultation: We begin with a brief Ayurvedic assessment to understand your Prakriti (body type), current imbalances, and areas of tension or stagnation.

The Body Work: You will be received in a private, warm therapy suite. The session is performed on a traditional low wooden table, which allows for optimal body mechanics and energy grounding. Traditional disposable undergarments are provided and draping protocols are maintained for your comfort at all times, with only the area being worked on uncovered.

A full body session is 90 minutes. A focused session for back, shoulders and legs is 60 minutes.

After the Work: It is recommended to allow the herbal oils to absorb for at least 1-2 hours after your session. Hydration and rest are encouraged to support the body's natural cleansing process.
