Group Therapy

*"The circle of chairs holds more power than any single therapist ever could."* Group Therapy: Tapping into Collective Recovery explores Irving Yalom's foundational principles—universality, cohesion, and interpersonal learning—to demonstrate why shared vulnerability accelerates healing in addiction treatment.

Unlike isolated interventions, group dynamics mirror real-world social triggers while providing immediate peer feedback, creating a "living laboratory" where members confront denial, practice accountability, and witness recovery in others, making it one of the few modalities where relapse prevention skills are stress-tested in real time.

Research shows groups reduce shame's isolating grip by normalizing struggle, turning Yalom's "curative factors" into tangible tools: when one member vocalizes a buried trauma, others often recognize unspoken parallels in their own stories, forging bonds that outpatient therapy alone rarely achieves. 3 Contact Hours $20.00

"Trauma and Addiction:

Touted as the foundations for professionals" isn't just another course—it's a paradigm-shifting deep dive into the unseen threads binding trauma to addictive behaviors, dismantling everything you *thought* you knew. Forget textbook theories; this is raw, clinically validated insight delivered through visceral case studies, neurobiological breakdowns, and unconventional frameworks that expose addiction as a survival response, not a moral failing.

Designed by frontline specialists, it strips away academic fluff to teach you how trauma literally rewires the brain's reward system, why traditional treatment fails, and how to intervene in ways that stick—whether you're a seasoned therapist or a rookie shaking up the system. You'll leave armed with tools sharper than anything your graduate program handed you.

Psycho Education: Why we do it, Why we forget!

Psychoeducation is not just about dumping information on clients—it's a dynamic, collaborative process that empowers individuals with knowledge about addiction, its mechanisms, and recovery strategies, though its initial intensity often fades as the focus shifts to skill-building and deeper understanding. While early sessions heavily emphasize psychoeducation to dismantle myths and foster insight, true mastery of this awareness unfolds gradually across the entire continuum of healing, where repeated exposure, practical application, and personal reflection transform abstract concepts into lived resilience, ensuring that what’s "learned" isn’t just remembered but integrated into lasting change.
